Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and release production orders to the factory based on sales orders
  • Establish procedures for creating, tracking, and reporting raw material requisitions through an ERP platform
  • Continuous analysis of stock levels and work in process
  • Analyze anticipated business forecast for the assignment of customer due dates
  • Work with purchasing to minimize material & component shortages
  • Liaison with customer service; resolve customer service issues with follow-ups, expedited orders, past dues
  • Work with team to update and maintain system lead-times
  • Daily monitoring of Work in Process
  • Daily new order review/contract review
  • Manage inventory levels in downstream manufacturing cells
  • Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales & shop personnel
  • Update and maintain accurate planning information in MRP System
  • Enter and maintain data in various tracking tools
  • Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis
  • Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine documentation. Ability to speak clearly and effectively with Managers, Supervisors and Coworkers.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret various graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP Manufacturing software and advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other excel functions.
  • Work Ethic – To perform this job successfully you will be expected to execute accurate analyses under strict time constraints. The ability to multitask and quickly change focus will be imperative to excel in a dynamic work environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one year of MRP experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other excel functions
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS, CPIM or CIRM certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access
  • Familiarity with various types of bar stock including steel, aluminum, titanium, and Nickel-based alloys
  • Familiarity and understanding of various inventory management systems such as Forecasts, JIT, Min/Max, etc.
