Summary
This position is responsible for playing an integral role in supporting the Production Control Manager to analyze the translation of the sales forecast into an attainable production plan consistent with specified company operational and financial goals.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Validate MRP raw material demand
  • Coordination of the outside processing to the respective vendor
  • Release production orders to the factory based on sales orders
  • Assist in creating procedures for creating, tracking, and reporting raw material requisitions across two ERP platforms
  • Coordination of the outside processing to the respective vendors
  • Continuous analyzation of stock room levels and work in process
  • Ability to use critical thinking and analyzation for anticipated business forecast and for the assignment of customer due dates
  • Support other product planners in achieving monthly goals/requirements for each of the site’s product line
  • Release production orders to the factory based on sales orders
  • Analyze anticipated business forecast and for the assignment of customer due dates
  • Update daily shipment numbers in production plan and update the Operations team on a daily basis
  • Check material & component shortages and create requisitions in Oracle
  • Liaison with customer service; resolve customer service issues with follow-ups, expedited orders, past dues
  • Set priorities at shop floor to ensure department goals are met
  • Daily/Weekly Review of customer demand
  • Daily monitoring of Work in Process
  • Attend operations daily production meeting with shop floor personnel
  • Interface with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales & shop personnel as required
  • Update and maintain accurate planning information in MRP System
  • Keeps work area clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a daily basis.
  • Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Planner or Master Scheduler in a manufacturing environment
  • Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent required
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aerospace Fastener experience preferred
  • Aerospace Bearings experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
