Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry.  Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond® %7C Reynolux® products.  We serve the global market with manufacturing facilities in Eastman, Georgia USA and Merxheim, France, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
 
We have an immediate need for a Production Manager who will be responsible for the supervision, training, continuous improvement, coaching and management of the Reynobond processes and production supervisors.  The production manager will be responsible for a plant environment that promotes safety, quality, cost management and customer satisfaction at all times. The production process is a 24/7 operation with 4 rotating shifts and 44 employees.
 
Essential Duties:
 
  • Lead the department on ABS (Lean) initiatives, including Daily Management, TPM, 5S, Leader Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving
  • Provide support to the other departments with respect to the overall “order to ship” process
 
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Must possess strong leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate, mentor and train staff.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols
  • Knowledge of project management skills
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing tools and techniques
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with very strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Solid mathematical, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, yet self-starting and results-oriented
  • A willingness to get out on the shop floor and “get dirty”
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn/change when necessary
  • Ability to travel some for off-the-job training and occasionally for supplier visits


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial Management, Lean Manufacturing or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 7+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing.
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Intermediate to expert level experience in MS Excel/MS Access & JD Edwards
  • Aluminum/Architectural related experience
