The Production Control Specialist will plan and execute production order schedule adherence to meet customer requested delivery date. Responsibilities will include execution of schedules in priority sequence, resolving material disruption issues, and insuring flow instructions are met on all shifts. Key Responsibilities and Duties will include the following: •Develop strategic plan for material flow and insure priorities are followed. •Manage execution of schedules on all shifts. •Create work flow instructions for all production shifts and insure they are properly executed. •Resolve disruption issues, such as scrap and rework, to minimize obstacles blocking flow of material. •Manage all personnel activities of department planner(s) and coordinator(s). •Collaborate with central planning team and other support function resources to meet schedules. •Relate specific job flow issues to Production Manager. •Control order movement to deliver material on time and meet revenue and margin commitment. •Participates in department review meetings to provide relevant information. •Provides departmental support to accomplish company goals. •Works with Production Planning on release schedules of materials into operations with assurances to efficiencies, earned standard hours and leveled flow. •Assurances to facilitator training including scrap logs, diverts, shop floor MDR movements.


Basic Qualifications: •High School Diploma or GED. •A minimum of three (3) years of planning, production scheduling, inventory control and coordination of work flow experience •Strong computer application skills including advanced MS Excel and Access skills required. •Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position •This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee Preferred Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. •Metals manufacturing preferred. •Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic. •Strong math, problem solving, and analytical skills are essential for identifying and resolving problems and implementing corrective action. •Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required. The ability to effectively communicate to all audiences (i.e. peers, executives, customers, external auditors) is required. •SAP experience is an added plus. •Good organizational skills and ability to be flexible.
