The Product Engineer will provide leadership/training/technical assistance to develop less senior engineers.  Insure the technical leadership in the implementation and development of manufacturing procedures, new process concepts that meet or exceeds customer requirements. Performs task with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Arconic Power and Propulsion’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.

Essential Job Functions
  • Establish engineer objectives and goals related to scrap reductions and implementation
of new business opportunities.
  • Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback system to insure financial
and contract targets are met.  (T, I and OE, milestones - yields, rework respectively).
  • Insure process engineering system, activity instructions and disciplinary procedures
are followed.  Implement changes as required. (Skilled in all systems and procedures.)
  • May be assigned to diverse mentoring responsibilities to provide motivation, support and training to develop less senior engineers.
  • Support manufacturing and insure processes, tooling, masters and instructions are
consistent with good foundry practice and plant goals and objectives.
  • Interface with suppliers and customers to insure products supplied conform to plant and
customer requirements.
  • Foster continuous improvement utilizing designed experiments, IPM and SPC.
  • Communicate with customer technical personnel to assist them with new and existing
engine programs to improve cost, quality and manufacturing capabilities in the shortest time.
  • Demonstrates considerable ingenuity and creativity while recognizing prudent risk.
  • As a recognized expert in one or more high technology areas, provide technical
guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant.
  • Review customer blueprints for details involving alloy, non-destructive testing and other
process related information.
  • Routinely review production lots for adherence to established techniques and to ensure
the repeatability of approved process.
  • Initiate cost reduction programs using systems provided to monitor and maintain actual
performance rating.
  • Interview engineering candidates and provide input in the hiring of personnel.
  • Other tasks as may be assigned by supervision.
  • Demonstrates department leadership in area of expertise, systems procedures and/or programs/projects.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials Science, or Metallurgical Engineering preferred.
