This position will assume direct responsibility for the dimensional integrity and cost of assigned products, as well as associated tooling and support fixtures. This position will support manufacturing through process control and improvement initiations.  This position will also establish and maintain external and internal customer associates, prepare part specific work instructions, maintain knowledge of job cost, and develop/implement appropriate plans to improve product quality and profitability.  It may include process ownership for a key technical area.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 6 months combined engineering internship and/or manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) from an accredited institution
  • Experience in the casting and/or Aerospace industry preferred
  • Experience with technical responsibility for building complex tooling packages preferred
  • Flexibility with work schedule to support manufacturing as needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills
  • Proficient skills in CAD software such as Solidworks, Unigraphics or similar programs; Strong Knowledge of MS Office
  • Able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skills
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, scientific methods for problem solving
