The Product Control Specialist-TiAl will be responsible for involving the melt control and product review processes for titanium aluminide production at the Niles, OH facility. Duties include the following:
  • Track raw material inventories and coordinate replenishment with the Purchasing Department
  • Review/approve/maintain raw material chemistry certifications
  • Review all melting information for TiAl production, i.e. production orders, melt charts, compaction orders, etc.
  • Retain documents per internal and customer requirements
  • Review/explain product nonconformities to the TiAl Operations Team
  • Enter nonconformities into the quality database as necessary
  • Assist in determining the root-cause of nonconformities and implementing corrective actions as appropriate
  • Review and approve purchase orders for outside conversion activities
  • Review chemical testing results and verify conformity to customer specifications
  • Interact with metallurgical personnel in the disposition of materials that do not meet their intended applications
  • Assist in the maintenance of specifications and other controlled documents


Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 2 years of quality or process engineering experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience
  • Experience in inventory control or production scheduling
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong computer application skills including advanced MS Excel and Access
  • Strong math, communication and prioritization skills
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage competing demands
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to be flexible
