Arconic Cleveland Operations, an aerospace forging facility located at 1600 Harvard Ave., is seeking qualified candidates for a new Product Analyst position. Under the direction of the Estimating Lead, this position is accountable for new forging product and tooling estimates, the review of customer changes, and changes to existing internal Items, BOMs, and Routings in the Oracle operations system.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interact with Marketing, Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality. and the Die manufacturing groups to manage all new part quotation priorities. Determine the cost and methods for manufacturing forgings including all recurring and non-recurring testing and primary and secondary tooling. Provide complete technical/cost proposals to Sales in order to win new business.
  • Generate a forging sequence of operations including input and scrap material weights that are used for lead time and cost calculations. Apply knowledge of plant equipment and capabilities, production practices, and interpretations of customer’s specifications. All information must be accurate and will be used for pricing short and long-term agreements with customers.
  • Process Customer Revision forms by evaluating the customer’s requested changes against the current design to determine what changes must occur to the forgings and tooling to implement the changes. Coordinate the implementation of changes including addressing any cost or process impact.
  • Read engineering drawings to compute cost and time to manufacture new tooling and change or repair existing tooling.
  • Assist where directed with the review and tracking of all incoming new product RFQs, customer documents and models with respect to generating accurate and timely replies to our customers.
  • Assist where directed with tracking and making proposed and approved changes to existing Arconic forging items, BOMs and routings. Develop accurate cost information as to the impact of these changes and disseminate the information regarding the implementation and timing of these internal changes.
  • Keep accurate records of actual vs. estimated costs for all estimates and apply this information to future estimates.
  • Participate in Oracle software update testing when scheduled, annual disaster recovery systems testing, factory wide physical inventories and any other systems evaluations when necessary. Be prepared to act as a backup or alternate Process Owner when required to control access to files, data and other sensitive information.


Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
•Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing
•The position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR),which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's level degree from an accredited institution
•Two years of experience with 2D CAD systems
•Oracle experience preferred
•PDM or PLM experience preferred
