Job Description

Process Technician – Plating   
 Essential Functions:
Performs the cleaning of fastener components using aqueous and solvent cleaning systems. Operator must be able to read pressure gauges and discern the correct level of cleanliness desired.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Performs the loading and unloading of fastener components and determines if the cleaning unit is maintaining the necessary degree of cleanliness required
  • Performs all duties, tasks, and responsibilities in a safe and environmentally conscious manner to protect himself/herself, other employees, and the company as a whole
  • Communicates with maintenance personnel on the cleaning unit’s performance and inform them of any abnormal characteristics associated with the cleaning unit.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checks and make entries into log
  • Changes or cleans all filters and screens as needed.
  • Keeps the cleaning unit free of oil, dirt, and other foreign matter that could cause premature failure.
  • Continuously checks for leaks in all plumbing, tanks, and de-ionized (DI) water tanks
  • Continuously checks gauges for correct pressure and temperature
  • Keeps area around cleaning unit clean and uncluttered. Uses power floor scrubber unit to keep isle ways and other manufacturing areas clean
  • Communicates with planners, factory technicians and lab technicians on job priority and on cleaning bath parameters respectively
  • Collects samples of cleaning baths for the lab technician and drain and make-up new baths per the lab technician’s request
  • Performs other related job duties as required
  • Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
  • Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions
  • Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor


Basic Qualification:
  • Must have 1 year experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and work instructions
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English 
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 30 lbs, may not exceed per EHS Policies
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
