Job Description

Develop, deliver and manage training and continuous improvement programs. Support Environmental Health and Safety efforts in maintaining compliance with regulatory and Arconic requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Specific Responsibilities

  • Complete EHS ASAT audits and testing. Performs monthly EHS department inspections/audits internally, and assist in Arconic’s EHS external audits.
  • Develops, maintains, and performs training on EHS programs, policies, procedures, monthly safety training as well as toolbox meetings as necessary; completes training on related EHS topics as necessary.
  • Performs SPA responsibilities in maintaining various EHS policies and procedures.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures, and assist in, the completion of PEHSRS, as related to EHS.
  • Prepares Triple Is and follows up on near-misses and first-aid incidents; and, performs incident investigation for incident root cause analysis.
  • Ensure that all chemicals in the department have been identified and ensures that the SDS is maintained; and, labels all chemical containers as needed.
  • Work with other employees to standardize and document work instructions and procedures.
  • Develop and conduct training for new employees and employees new to specific procedures
  • Assist in OPEX ASAT audits and testing
  • Develop, maintain, and perform training on OPEX programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform SPA responsibilities in maintaining various OPEX policies and procedures
  • Create and manage certification program specific to individual roles.
  • Maintain working knowledge of other roles to step in when manpower requires.
  • Manage projects as needed in the facility
  • Develop mechanisms to track tasks and analyze for improvement. Develop standards for those areas upon improvement.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices and adheres to 5-S principles by keeping work area clean and orderly.
  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Arconic Guide to Business Conduct.
  • Performs all work activities in accordance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


High school graduate or equivalent required. College experience preferred.

Experience and Background

  • Minimum of two years of experience performing work that has provided a good understanding of computerized materials management systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Prior experience in developing and delivering training programs or EHS programs preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in the practical application of computers required. Oracle, BAAN, Excel, Lotus Notes, Easy Label, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write and perform standard math calculations.
  • Must be able to perform manual activities with moderate physical demands, regularly lifting and carrying loads of up to thirty pounds. Platform lift may be available to assist in the movement of heavier loads.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people throughout the organization.
  • Ability to develop and conduct training programs and informational presentations on a variety of topics to individuals or groups.
  • Good writing skills to develop a wide range of documents.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
