Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry.  Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond® %7C Reynolux® products.  We serve the global market with manufacturing facilities in Eastman, Georgia USA and Merxheim, France, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
We have an immediate need for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for the successful management of mechanical equipment and processes within the facility to optimize processes and minimize waste. A successful candidate will have strong understanding of safety protocols, mechanical concepts and process systems. A successful candidate will need experience with engineering software applications, such as AutoCAD.
Essential Duties:
  • Manage some capital improvement projects for EHS, Sustainability, Productivity and/or Growth.
  • Write specifications to purchase equipment for aluminum composite material (ACM) line
  • Supervise the installation of equipment on site within the project schedules and authorized budgets
  • Provide project management support for major systems and equipment installations.
  • Diagnoses and assists in solving difficult engineering and maintenance problems and recurring malfunctions.
  • Work jointly with Product Engineering on concurrent product and process designs.
  • Maintain awareness of new technology and evaluate its value to AAP Eastman.
  • Lead the implementation of equipment FMEA’s as needed.
 Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols
  • Knowledge of project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with implementation of LEAN Manufacturing


Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or military environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • 1+ years’ experience in process or continuous improvement in a manufacturing or military environment.
