Job Description

This position supports manufacturing through process control and improvement initiatives, assumes responsibility for integrity for assigned product, establishes and maintain external and internal customer contacts, documents and prepares part specific work instructions and maintain knowledge of job cost and develop/implement appropriate plans to improve profitability.

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Understand and implement quality tools to improve the visual quality as well as the yields of patterns.
  • Develop and document injection profiles for the various wax patterns on the different machines.
  • Be involved in the startup of all new jobs with the tooling technician.
  • Learn, understand implement the tools of 6 Sigma to improve quality and yields.
  • Help troubleshoot quality problems on existing and new product lines.
  • Be plant focal point for technical interfaces with external customers.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the investment casting industry
  • Knowledge of MS Office, excellent written and oral communications skills, able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing, and/or Toyota Production Systems
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Willingness to learn DMIS software a plus
