Job Description

Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a Process Engineer who is responsible to lead product and process development and improvement projects to support the business to achieve established processing and financial targets. This position is a key member of the location’s Operations team and is highly visible position in the plant and Business Unit. The position provides an excellent platform for potential future growth to the successful candidate. This position will be located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, modify, improve, and troubleshoot the dimensional processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings;
  • Investigate and conduct experiments concerned with physical characteristics, properties, and processing of metals to develop methods of commercially manufacturing forgings from primarily Ferrous, Aluminum, Titanium and Nickel base alloys;
  • Consult with Engineers and the Operations personnel to develop methods of manufacturing at minimum costs, and to implement robust shop floor instructions;
  • Support Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction activities as directed;
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Experience in Aerospace forging using titanium and/or nickel based super alloys;
  • Experience with CAD programs;
  • Experience designing tools which produce reliable production of parts;
  • Able to use inspection equipment (verniers, calipers, rulers, etc.).
