Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
We have an immediate opening for a Process Engineer at our Arconic/Kawneer plant in Cranberry Township, PA.  This role is accountable for providing process and technical assistance, focused in the Glass Tempering, Extrusion, Paint, Anodize and Waste Water areas of the facility.  The incumbent will utilize Process Management and best practice tools to develop, implement, monitor and sustain efficient manufacturing processes.  The incumbent will also provide guidance, coaching, and technical assistance to operators, supervisors and managers in their respective areas.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
  • Reporting the critical process status on specified frequencies;
  • Fostering continuous improvement utilizing Process Management designed experiments, SPC, Cpk;
  • Recognized expert in the area process technology, provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant;
  • Daily interaction and communication of issue with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel;
  • Providing creative, innovative and comprehensive problem-solving capability;
  • Determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications and provide technical support to Process Engineering to resolve related issues;
  • Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback systems to insure financial and business targets are met, driving high performing processes of excellence;
  • Control and approval of process control plans;  
  • Assist in setting up visual management, Standard operating procedures and 5s to assist in controlling all critical variables;
  • Manage the capital budget. Assisting project managers to ensure that all RFAs are written to the highest standard, providing up to date forecast and completion of projects on time;
  • Fixed capital SPA which include confirming all financial regulations are met, completing all ASAT and maintaining all physical assets on property;
  • Develop and drive the Process Management which involves the design, improvement, monitoring, and maintenance of the locations critical processes to bring them up to the highest levels of excellence.


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
