Job Description

Job Summary:
Supply machine operators with material and supplies to achieve maximum productivity. Will be responsible for material handling, pulling orders from raw material inventory and placing them in production, distributing supplies, and material staging.

Fundamental Duties:
  • Promote safety by ensuring safe handling techniques and PPE is used by all employees
  • Coordinate and prioritize the staging of the production orders next to the operation for quick changeovers
  • Provide technical support and quality guidance to Precision Sheet areas.
  • Provide coaching to Grinder Operators and other precision sheet workers as necessary
  • Act as temporary supervisor as needed
  • Distribute supplies to machine operators as needed
  • Load, unload, and move materials from within shipping and receiving, plant, yard, storage areas or work sites, to designated areas using hand truck, electric dolly, forklift or other devices
  • Maintain organization of Finished Goods and Raw Materials
  • Communicate with supervisors, production planning, lab, maintenance, and production employees regarding production concerns
  • Build and repair skids used to hold material
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Must have problem solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others

  • Accurate and attentive to detail
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and SAP
  • Must have basic knowledge of math, math equations and use of various measuring instruments
