Arconic Engines (AEN) Wichita Falls, TX  is seeking a Process Cast Process Owner who will  have ownership for process control and continuous improvement initiatives relative to post-cast processes.  Position will link Post Cast best practices to address yield / rework opportunities, perform all ASAT audits related audits and enable a value stream partnership in our Plant 1 & 2 facilities.
  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that post cast processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as required in both BU manuals, business operating, and customer requirements.
  • Foster continuous improvement utilizing Six Sigma methodology, Process Management, SPC to reduce variation and improve capability
  • Evaluate and document process changes, obtaining customer or engineering approval when required.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of corporate best practices for materials, manufacturing techniques, control metrics, analysis, and new equipment specifications; work collaboratively with post cast process owners at other Arconic facilities.
  • Responsible for determination of the root cause and corrective action for any deviation from critical process specifications and disposition of product
  • Work with facilities and finance departments to plan and execute projects, including capital improvements
  • Institute proper project monitoring, follow-up, and feedback system to ensure financial and contract targets are met (i.e. yields, rework)
  • Educate operators about the process and proper procedures, including creating/revising and approving work instructions and training materials


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and ability to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Minitab, SAS, JMP software
  • Working knowledge and previous application of statistical analysis and SPC to a manufacturing process.
  • Ability to travel internationally 25-50% of the time.
  • Must be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlines.
  • Must be a leader
  • Must have demonstrated ability to create relationship and energize teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Process Management a plus.  (Commitment to achieve within 24 months is required.)
