Arconic Engines is seeking an HR professional with a strong generalist background and a hands-on style to provide HR leadership for our location in LaPorte, Indiana. Nestled half-way between South Bend and Chicago, only minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan, our LaPorte facility is home to some of the most cutting edge manufacturing technology for the aerospace industry. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with plant leadership to develop HR strategy for an 800+ employee population across three sites. The ideal candidate will have experience with all facets of the human resource and labor relations functions.

Qualified candidates will have experience with the following:
  • Translate business strategy into HR strategy
  • Partner with the Plant Managers and Staff to deliver HR solutions that meet business needs
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment, including team building and effective communications
  • Create a diverse workforce and inclusive environment
  • Develop and implement strategic staffing and recruitment methods and processes
  • Be a champion for Talent management and Workforce Planning
  • Lead Performance Management and Compensation Planning efforts
  • Leverage internal organizational effectiveness and leadership development processes
  • Be a change agent and encourage continuous improvement activities
  • Preference for a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Partner with corporate teams for benefit administration, W/C administration and payroll coordination
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal employment law



Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist function
  • A minimum of 4 years experience within a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 3 years of HR leadership experience managing direct reports
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources.
  • Experience working in a large, global organization.
  • Manufacturing leadership experience
  • PHR / SPHR certification.
