Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

This opening is in our Kawneer business which is located in Visalia, CA.  We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
 
SUMMARY: Performs paint line operations, including line loader, pretreatment operator, lead loader, painter, online quality inspector, Bolton entry, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
  • Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
  • Maximize loads.
  • Utilize part presentation accurately.
  • Manage primers, turning primers on/off, verify correct color is utilized.
  • Delegate tasks to line loaders and loader trainees as necessary.
  • Verify correct loads (SOs) and color tags are on line.
  • Problem solve any production or quality issues.
  • Perform weekly safety audits.
  • Perform paint department PMs (clean booths, change filters, etc.).
  • Utilize paint settings with minimal assistance.
  • Utilize electrostatic basics with minimal assistance.
  • Utilize wet mill gauge process with minimal assistance.
  • Participate in process management system.


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One to six months related work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors. 
  • Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
