Arconic Fastening Systems Tucson Operations is looking for a Production Tech Lead who will be responsible for the product flow though the factory.  This position also ensures that the technicians have the necessary resources, training and capability to product a quality product.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in assuring team tooling and material readiness.  (Assemble tooling set-up kits, stage raw materials and perform external setup tasks, as required)
  • Participate in setting and achieving team and individual productivity and quality targets.
  • Assist in the set-up and operation of the various manufacturing cells
  • Provide resolution of quality problems
  • Trouble shoot machine problems
  • Perform minor maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Assist in establishing Standard Work
  • Vacation/illness replacement for individual production technicians
  • Assist in the assessment of the capabilities of individual production technicians
  • Assist in the identification of training needs and training delivery for individual production technicians
  • Conduct training of production technicians in machine set-up, operation and preventive maintenance
  • Coordinate Continuous Improvement within manufacturing
  • Assist in the teaching of peers and other operators in the principles of Arconic Business Systems
  • Continue to become proficient in the set-up, operation and maintenance of all equipment within the factory

  • Performs general job duties of a Process Specialist II
  • Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
  • Help assure a safe and healthful factory
  • Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.
  • Report all incidents, fill out Triple I, including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.


High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 10 years precision metal forming and/or component assembly experience.
  • Must have achieved a Process Specialist II Level
  • Must have knowledge of and be able to set up and operate multiple equipment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
