Job Description

Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
Prepares and packs orders for shipment.
Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer order and reports shortages and incomplete orders.
Selects appropriate shipping containers and packing material
Operates standard manual and automatic equipment.
Stacks shipment on skids and takes shipments to shipping dock.
Checks receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defects.
Expedites materials to proper department or storage location
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic arithmetic.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
