The NPI (New Program Introduction) Project Engineering position is responsible for providing program management support to the all assigned product development programs within the Arconic Whitehall Casting facility, ensuring each part meets or exceeds original program commitments (delivered on time, within the budget, at target cost and expected yields). They will be expected to support a detailed execution plan working with the Program Manager and team members from different functional disciplines (engineering, manufacturing, commercial, scheduling, quality) to ensure the timely completion of the project plan. They will utilize the PM (Program Management) software toolset to ensure cross-functional team members work collectively to complete the necessary tasks on time and provide weekly status updates for each program. The NPI Project Engineer will be responsible for maintaining detailed action lists for all programs and working closely with the engineering and operational teams to ensure they are completed on time and within the budget. This process will involve a detailed review of the overdue tasks and follow up during the daily management meeting. They will identify gaps and/or risks to the program and drive mitigation plans to avoid delays or unnecessary expenses. This will include obtaining the commitment of the various functional discipline leaders to ensure the overall recovery of the program. Issues or risks that cannot be resolved at the team level are to be identified by the NPI Project Engineer and elevated quickly for resolution.


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years project/program management and team leadership experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Requirements:
•           BS in Engineering
•           Experience with investment casting process is a plus
•           Experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industries
•           APQP/PFMEA/PPAP/SPC experience is preferred
•           Aerospace specification knowledge is preferred
•           Proficient in all MS Office applications, specifically MS Project.
•           Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing a plus.
•           Strong oral and written communication skills.
•           Strong math skills are necessary.
•           Strong Analytical abilities.
