This opening is with Arconic – Whitehall Operations, a division of Arconic Engines – a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, performance coatings, and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets.

Candidate for NDT Digital Radiography Level 2 (Non-Film) will be stationed in Whitehall, Michigan and must be willing to travel to any / all Arconic Engines sites, including international, as requested to provide Level 2 radiography support. Duration at the site will vary and can exceed 30 days. Shift re-alignment could be possible to support international Arconic Engines plants. Candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to:
•         Support the interpretation of Digital Radiographs in a production mode as needed
•         Learning other operations and/or technologies as required
•         Technologies include, but are not limited to Ultrasonic Wall Gage, Visual, Fluorescent Penetrant, or other NDT method as defined.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
•         High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
•         4+ years’ experience as Level 2 in Non-Film (Digital) Radiography.
•         Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•         This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:
•         Digital Radiography Level 2 experience obtained in aerospace or applicable alloy industries
•         Training and certification must be in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A and NAS-410.
•         Equivalency shall be determined by Arconic’s Responsible Level 3.
•         Experience within other Digital Radiography modalities, (i.e. Computed Radiography (CR), Automated Defect Recognition (ADR), Computed Tomography (CT)) would be beneficial in filling this position.
