This individual will be a creative team player and visual storyteller of the innovative projects that ATC is working on and the technologies that we are commercializing.  
 
 
Major Activities / Key Challenges:
 
• Support ATC communications and documentation through video, multi-media and our internal web-based tools.
• Support efforts to publicize and create video content that showcases ATC, our projects and employees. These materials will support customer events, internal events and more.
• Pre-production/script, shoot and edit professional videos, from art direction to production. These are likely to be short promotional style videos to provide an overview and build enthusiasm for technologies.
• Work with internal partners to tell our stories. This may include interviews, traveling to locations or script writing. It may also include creating visual displays of our technologies for Arconic's Innovation Center or other customer spaces.
• Document technical projects to show progress from beginning to end; this may include video, photos, animations, etc.
• Photograph/film events on campus, from customer visits to onsite activities to forums.
• Manage projects, including a workload of competing priorities with a focus on deadlines, customer service, quality and attention to detail.
• Regularly update internal web-based content.
• Execute new designs from concept to completion in fast-paced collaborative environments.
• Lead a team investigating virtual reality and how to implement within the corporation.
• Provide graphic and PowerPoint support, where needed, to help tell our story.
 
Essential Knowledge & Skills / Education:
 
• Experienced with every phase of video production, from conceptualization to post-production.
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Especially Premiere Pro and After Effects); experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and PowerPoint
• Expertise with a variety of camera and video equipment, including DSLR, Go Pro, drones, and virtual reality.
• Experience with animation and motion graphics.
• Knowledge of available audio equipment and editing software and the proven ability to optimize sound quality in a variety of office and industrial settings.
• Understanding of video distribution strategy and optimizing video and audio quality in various channels and applications where video can be used.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to present complex topics in a visual manner that drives understanding and interest.
• Translating business information/data/analytics into compelling visuals (e.g. charts, graphs, conceptual photography, informational graphics, and presentations).
• Must be a strong storyteller and have the ability to make technical messages simple and easily understood, picking the best medium to tell the story (video, animation, photo, online, slides, etc.)
• Knack for bringing out the best in people on camera.
• Ability to meet standing, consistent deadlines.
• Must be able to work quickly and be flexible.
• Must be meticulous, technical, organized, multi-tasking and creative at the same time.
• Strong competencies in project management, teaching and collaborating.
• Ability to succeed in a independent work environment, but work within in a team.
• Must be a strategic doer who takes initiative and identifies new opportunities.
• Receptive to new ideas and processes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in video editing and production.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
• Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Media Arts, Communications Media, or Graphic Design from an accredited institution.
• Experience with graphic design.
• Experience with use of virtual and/or augmented reality in manufacturing or technology development.
• Experience using a drone.
• Experience working in an R&D, technical, or engineering environment.
• Proven experience creating videos and animations.
• Proven experience with photography.
• Knowledge of basic web design including HTML, SharePoint, etc.
• Experience with Design Thinking methodologies and practices.
• Ability to create concept renderings (either manual or digital) for the support of ideation and patent related activities.
