Maintenance Technician Mechanical Millwright




Terms of Employment:
  • Position: Maintenance Technician – Mechanical Millwright - Full Time
  • Shift: Afternoon Shift:  3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (training will take place on days)
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all production machinery, related equipment and material handling equipment (forklift truck included) as per work order.
  • Assist in the install of new equipment, as well as adjusting and repairing existing equipment.
  • Start up and Observe all machines to detect malfunctions and report finding
  • Communicate ideas and improvement to production machinery and parts
  • Perform building/facility maintenance, including plumbing in plant and office.
  • Liaise with property management to ensure parking lots are cleared of snow and ice. Apply additional salt on parking lot if required.
  • Make improvements on production machinery and parts
  • Monitor and maintain safety performance of equipment
  • Assist in the research of new equipment/replacement parts and make purchase recommendations
  • Assist QA with validation and verification of equipment and processes.
  • Liaise with all staff members regarding the repair of equipment’s
  • Conduct the necessary training of equipment to Machine Operator
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained daily
  • Observe and reinforce Health & Safety Standards
