  • Provide support and leadership to a manufacturing area, laboratories, product lines.
  • Address quality issues related to the area of support, and evaluate and develop products, processes, and equipment based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure ISO procedures and product/process control.
  • This position involves working with support staff in this area, shift leaders, and the shop floor work force.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years metallurgical experience
  • Quality system experience (TS 16949 or AS 9100)
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Statistical Methods, Engineering Calculations, Physical Metallurgy, Mechanical Metallurgy, Phase Diagrams, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Metals Solidification Theory, Thermodynamics, and Material Processing
  • Experience in the aluminum industry
