Job Description

Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a Materials Technician II in our Receiving department.  This role performs all the tasks of a Material Tech as well as: coordination and movement of materials within the receiving/raw materials operations, and other areas as required; unload/load trailers, accepting, verifying, and recording of incoming materials, services and supplies from outside vendors; stage, identify (tag), stock material, cycle count. Including the accurate count and electronic receipt of all commodity and inventoried items, services performed, and internal receipt requests from procurement or buyers; and physically lift, place, and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for moderate distances.  This position will be based in our Waco, TX plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment and perform duties as related to functional area of assignment, listed below, and be familiar with safety, environmental, and emergency procedures for equipment in that functional area.
  • Accurately count and record incoming deliveries.
  • Investigate and correct any commodity goods or raw material inaccuracies.
  • Perform final electronic receipt of all goods and services.
  • Take appropriate action to correct identified inaccuracies including receipt corrections.
  • Count, verify, and receive RMA’s.
  • Verify and enter material certifications into Lotus Notes database.
  • Operate forklift and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport material to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Accurately record raw material deliveries to production floor.
  • Numerous miscellaneous general warehouse tasks, including 5s tasks/activities and dept improvements.
  • Tag and cycle count material as required.
  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Arconic Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to learn manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
 
Skills:
  • Must be able to read, write and accurately perform routing math calculations.
  • Must be able to interact positively with other individuals to function effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Must be able to operate basic computer systems and programs.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer 1 year forklift operation experience.
