Position Description   Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Materials Specialist for our Mairoll Shipping and Receiving Department.

Summary
Weighs all packages and freight rates are determined either automatically or from a chart.  Initiates billing.  Loads and unloads trucks as required. Incumbent will be held to established quality standards. Incumbent will have moderate control to make adjustments to the process after tasks are assigned.  May have access to confidential information and company funds.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Counts and packages parts to customers specifications, working from shipping orders and produces labels with customers purchase orders and part numbers.
  • Receives, counts and locates parts in correct bin location; disburses, counts and assigns to appropriate work orders; weighs and counts parts for correct inventory accounting.
  • Makes record keeping transactions to update MRP system and moves stock around facility
  • Performs cycle count activities to assure inventory accuracy; researches incorrect heat and work order numbers; makes bin to bin transactions; marks open bin locations for received work orders.
  • Scraps inventory according to company standards
  • Moves completed production whenever signed and stamped off.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
