Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to fulfill customer orders according to production demands. This position is located at the AFS aerospace distribution facility in Simi Valley, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Receives and unloads freight both manually and/or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Checks shipping documentation for accuracy and verifies quantity for each order.
  • Visually inspects the quality of items received and shipped for each order.
  • Retrieves product from inventory to process orders and replenishes stock using the company’s inventory management system.
  • Responsible for packing orders according to customer requirements.
  • Create and review customer identification labels and prepare shipping documentation.
     


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
 
•        High School Diploma
•        Minimum of 1-year related experience
•        Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•        This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•        Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word.
•        Knowledge of Oracle applications.
•        Excellent written and oral communication skills.
