Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Material Handler to facilitate the flow and movement of parts though the factory,   This position is located at our Aerospace manufacturing plant in Tucson, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the flow and movement of pasts within the facility.  Based on flow of Kanbans and strict adherence to the discipline of maintaining a pull system. 
  • Responsible for the movement of work orders through the tracking system file.
  • Deliver samples to and from Heat Treat, process lab, and main lab.
  • Weight count of parts from all Focus Factory’s.
  • Deliver packages to Focus Factory areas, Tool Room, and Plating.
  • Empty scrap bins around facility.
  • Ensure all pans are properly identified.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement on a daily basis by your actions. Take the initiative to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervision. 
  • Participate with production teams to resolve production and shipping issues.
  • Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
    • Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.
    • Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 1 year experience of directly related materials and/or shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with data entry in a MRP System
  • Must be able to pass Mobile Equipment Physical and test
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
