Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for creating and executing the operational plan and schedule, to ensure that this meets the customers required date, by employing a full suit of systems and processes.

•         Create a level loaded schedule based on customer needs and capacity availability.

•         Communicate capacity availability to Production Managers and ensure work orders are loaded according to capacity availability.

•         Work closely with the Planner to ensure the operation schedule is met daily and materials are available.

•         Manage the data flow and conduct monthly S&OP with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teams.

•         Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are established and maintained to ensure departmental expectations are met and the operations plan is executed successfully

•         Undertake frequent reviews with both Production and Customer Service teams to determine whether the planned order completion date is accurate and update the ERP system accordingly.

•         Build and execute long term plans utilising relevant data.

•         Undertake frequent reviews of resource queue times and availability and update the ERP system accordingly.

•         Create and launch works orders.

•         Compile the weekly and monthly arrears data.

•         Compile the weekly and monthly on-time delivery performance with analysis.

•         Weekly inventory review in conjunction with bottleneck analysis and maintain action plans in conjunction with the operational teams.

•         Attend daily operations meetings as required to ensure the current status of the operational plan

•         Liaise with Production. Procurement, Technical, Commercial and Customer Service teams to ensure

orders and materials are being processed according to the operational plan

•         Ensure the ERP system is updated and maintained accurately

Qualifications

Experience

Ÿ  Supply Chain / Planning experience gained within a manufacturing environment is essential

Qualifications

Ÿ  Educated to degree level or equivalent (Desirable not essential)

  • Specific Supply Chain / Planning qualifications would be advantageous
