Arconic has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager Analyst - Automotive to work at our Arconic Automotive Center located in Farmington Hills, MI. This position is with Arconic's Global Rolled Products (GRP) Business Unit. GRP produces the widest variety of aluminum sheet and plate products in the world. Our aluminum is the foundation for many products serving customers in a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Building and Construction, and Automotive Systems and Distribution.

The Marketing Manager Analyst-Automotive will support Arconic Automotive and report to the Global Marketing Director - Automotive, with daily direction/interaction with Operations, Inside Sales, and Supply Chain Management and will support customers in the U.S. and possibly abroad.
Our goal at Arconic Automotive is to work with our customers to help them build superior vehicles that consumers will demand. We accomplish this through design, engineering and product solutions that provide maximum flexibility, systems cost savings and a simplified production process. The scope of this position is primarily the manufacturing sheet plants in Davenport, IA, Alcoa, TN, Danville, IL, San Antonio, TX, with a secondary focus of NHT products in Lancaster, PA. Support to any other GRP rolling facility would be on an “as needed” market basis. These products are intended for automobiles of all classes and light trucks through class three. Class four through class eight trucks are handled by the commercial transportation team. Market coordination between light and heavy truck is a critical part of this position.


Responsibilities:
  • Product pricing and costing analysis to our customers to achieve the highest revenue and profitability as possible while helping to maintain supply status.
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and tools to assist the Global Marketing Director in developing and executing a strategy for the market segment. The strategy consists of a plan that delivers profitability, market position, and cost reduction efforts. The strategy considers customer needs, value analysis, manufacturing feasibilities and financial impacts.
  • Assist with Automotive Closure, Heat Treat and Non-Heat Treat sheet marketing activities for GRP.
  • Develop, track and manage new business opportunities.
  • Monitor the growth opportunities and transitioning to the Sales resources.
  • Monitor the process through DI2 and transitioning to the Sales resources.
  • Develop relationships and data sources (internal and external) to provide in-depth market, product and manufacturing knowledge to share information and provide recommendations to Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain management.
  • Perform marketing functions by providing reliable market data and information to the commercial organization, assisting with the development of the business plan, volume and revenue forecasts and other marketing support to achieve the short term and long-term business objectives relating to volume, revenue and margin for the Automotive Sheet Market.
  • Review established contract pricing with sales documents to ensure pricing accuracy on shipped invoices.
  • Review products on a flowpath level to ensure that waste is identified, and eliminated thereby maximizing profitability.
  • Assist as a training resource for Marketing & Sales personnel, as well as new hires, on computer and software and process related topics.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing, finance, engineering, account management, or accounting experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Engineering, or Finance from an Accredited institution
  • An advanced degree from an accredited institution
  • 8 years or more of marketing, accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Automotive customer interfaces
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Microsoft Excel, Word) & Microsoft Project experience.
