Accountability Objectives
Under the direction of the Corporate Director of Manufacturing Intelligence and Smart Manufacturing, this position is accountable for the deployment and monitoring of Arconic operational metrics and roll-up to the business unit (BU) and corporate leadership. This position is to:
• Work with the BUs and Locations to identify and standardize KPI metrics within each of the BUs
• In partnership with the BUs, develop and deploy metrics in locations that lack operating systems and manufacturing KPIs
• Create an aggregate score by location based on their KPIs, using a centralized and standardized system which would be developed in partnership with Corporate IT
• Work with Corporate IT to devise a system that captures those BUs and Locations KPIs as an aggregate score on a digital platform where the metrics can be viewed and trended from a laptop, smartphone, or tablet
• Conduct training and workshops at Arconic plants to educate plant technical leaders on manufacturing KPIs and to ensure deployment of KPIs and roll-up into the digital platform
• Lead discussions with BUs and locations to identify opportunities for improvement and to report trends and major initiatives to improve the operational KPIs.

Job Dimensions:
The primary purpose of this position is to devise and deploy Manufacturing Intelligence toolkits and lead Smart Manufacturing projects which enhance performance in our operations and in the smart manufacturing journey.
• Partnership with Arconic Corporate IT to ensure deployment of a platform to capture KPIs and reports, trends, and visualization dashboards and heatmaps.
• A working knowledge of manufacturing processes, improvement strategies, metrics, change management, and project management to support the continuous improvement culture.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years operational and/or maintenance experience in a manufacturing / plant environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience involving operational technologies and processes
• Minimum of 2 years people management experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
• Strong project management skills. Must be able to work independently as a sponsor and a team leader on multiple projects.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding and practical application of systems analysis and technical skills.
• Possess leadership ability with effective oral and written communication skills
• Possess organization with attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, planning and decision-making abilities, good analytical skills, project management abilities, and creativity and competency as a  team builder.
• Practical experience with manufacturing metrics reporting and monitoring.
• Strong project management skills. Must be able to work independently as a sponsor and a team leader on multiple projects.
