This 1st shift position will be located in the Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation, and will apply Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives while leading a large segment of our manufacturing process.  Specifically, this position will:
 
  • Reaffirm existing production goals, or establish new goals, and lead the group effort to achieve those goals.
  • Manages the manufacturing process ensuring production follows appropriate workflow and quality goals are met.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.  Supervisors and motivates a team, reviews, employee performance, and identifies training needs.
  • Responsible for creating a safe work environment and a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure operations metrics are well-known, and track daily progress toward achieving objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and scrap reduction.
  • Develop the capabilities of those in the department through teaching, coaching, establishing high standards, and ensuring accountability.
  • Exhibit and promote an attitude on the plant floor that leads to an engaged and energized workforce.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • 7+ years experience in leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee. 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in the investment casting industry a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills that creates an engaged employee environment.
  • Able to drive improvement through the implementation of the lean manufacturing principles, total quality practices, six sigma.
  • Demonstrated results in leading manufacturing excellence. 
  • A strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes. 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial literacy
  • Experience with tooling, molds and dies relating to the Investment Casting, Injection Molding, or Stamping Industries is preferred.
