The Manufacturing Manager located at our Barberton, OH location is responsible for planning and operation of equipment and systems in support of meeting safety, profitability, cost and production goals at our casting facility. In additional, the incumbent will manage the activities of assigned employees. Conducts training, recommends adjustments to pay, completes performance appraisals, initiates timely corrective action, as appropriate (including attendance/tardiness).

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Review department spending and performance. Initiates programs and procedures to reduce spending and enhance performance;
  • Communicate policies and ensures facility employees create a safe, productive and pleasant working environment;
  • Plan and schedule production activities and supervises the production process;
  • Ensure good quality production of products on time;
  • Responsible for mold life, condition and changeovers;
  • Ensure maintenance of cost effective and high-standard production;
  • Estimate production costs and determines high quality standards;
  • Monitor the production practices and sets the schedules as required;
  • Select and maintain equipment, supervise product standards and enforce quality-control programs;
  • Work with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization;
  • Stay abreast of health and safety strategies;
  • Drive health and safety initiatives and training for employees, with a major focus on molten metal safety;
  • Act as a liaison with stakeholders such as suppliers, managers and so on to prevent any probable delay;
  • Supervise and inspire team of workers and reviews the work performance of subordinates;
  • Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant performance;
  • Prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance related problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory / management experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in casting or foundry environment;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a salaried workforce / supervisors.
