Job Description

Under limited direction, has technical ownership of hardware produced for applicable customers while supporting Arconic to achieve established processing and financial targets. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities.   • Develop, modify, improve, and troubleshoot the processes associated with the production of aerospace closed-die forgings.
  • Track machining process performance as a function of materials or parts machined, equipment, personnel used.
  • Support operations with technical guidance associated with machining practice.
  • Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve targets established by the business unit.
  • Use CAD software to review parts; CAM software to review machining programs.
  • Document departures from approved practice for internal as well as external review.
  • Cooperate with process design and product development teams to identify best practices.
  • Review new and revised technical (material, process, quality) specifications, as necessary.
  • Performs related duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field is required. 
Experience in machining, especially titanium and/or nickel-based superalloys is a plus.
