This opening is with Arconic’s Hampton Structural Operations in Hampton, VA -- a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys and titanium primarily for Aero and Rocket Engine.  This position will direct & motivate the manufacturing workforce to produce products of high quality in the most efficient & safe manner & ensure that scheduling meets business & customer needs. Position is assigned to the Structural Manufacturing Manager leading employees in the post cast manufacturing departments, across all three shifts.


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder') Political Asylee, or Refugee. 
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with TPM, Synchronous Mfg & Kaizen concepts.
  • Experience in the investment casting industry a plus
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and employees
  • Excellent leadership skills that create an engaged employee environment and have direct report responsibilities for supervisors
  • Able to drive improvement through the implementation of the lean manufacturing principles, total quality practices, six sigma and 6S
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Good analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Good financial literacy
