Job Description

This is a position in the Manufacturing Systems area of responsibility in Whitehall, MI.  The role is to support business process needs, analyze manufacturing information and map business processes in support of the plant.  Will require manufacturing systems knowledge. 
 
The position is for a technical resource, skilled in the areas of manufacturing, finance, and process control.  This also includes knowledge of reporting toolsets and accounting.
 
  • Manage manufacturing systems and security in direct support of production, including troubleshooting, resolving related issues, supporting upgrades and improvements.    
  • Analyze data from manufacturing systems including making recommendations to meet operational goals. 
  • Process Owner for the manufacturing lot trace system and engineering data warehouse.
  • Maintain part traceability using manufacturing systems. 
  • Maintain job routing and bill of material, including rework routings. 
  • Manage work in process lots and disposition return items, as needed. 
  • Perform costs analysis for quoting.
  • Reports to Plant Controller   
  • Lead annual physical inventory process.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, accounting or finance.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of systems analysis experience; preferably supporting manufacturing, financial, or end-user systems.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and its fundamentals and drivers
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and develop key metrics from manufacturing activity and interpret those into financial impact
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to map business processes and solutions to aid manufacturing using the information system
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a self-starter with computer skills; excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to provide 24x7 support in support of the manufacturing process
  • Experience in use of query languages in support of integrated business applications (i.e. Oracle, Microsoft, Essbase, Hyperion, SQL, .net.
