Job Description

Arconic Engineered Structures is a world-class producer of titanium aero ingots and mill products—and a leader in highly-engineered, multi-material structures for aircraft. This is a position in the Manufacturing Systems area of responsibility in Whitehall, MI.  The principal challenge of the role is to analyze business process needs, analyze manufacturing information solutions and map business processes in support of the plant.  Projects will require manufacturing systems knowledge. 
The position exists due to the need for a technical resource, skilled in the areas of manufacturing, finance, engineering, quality, and process control.  This also includes knowledge of reporting toolsets.
  • Manage manufacturing systems and security in direct support of production, including troubleshooting, resolving related issues, supporting upgrades and improvements. 
  • Provide labor, part flow, part quality, inventory, and other manufacturing related reporting, including custom reporting.  
  • Analysis data from manufacturing systems including making recommendations to meet operational goals. 
  • Process Owner for the manufacturing lot trace system and engineering data warehouse.
  • Maintain part traceability using manufacturing systems. 
  • Maintain job routing and bill of material, including rework routings. 
  • Manage work in process lots and disposition return items, as needed. 
  • Perform costs analysis for quoting. 
  • Provide systems training to end-users. 
  • Support the annual physical inventory process.


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, data processing or finance from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of systems analysis experience; preferably supporting manufacturing, financial, or end-user systems.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and its fundamentals and drivers
  • Ability to identify, quantify, and develop key metrics from manufacturing activity and interpret those into financial impact
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to map business processes and solutions to aid manufacturing using the information system
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a self-starter with computer skills; excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to provide 24x7 support in support of the manufacturing process
  • Experience in use of query languages in support of integrated business applications (i.e. Oracle, Microsoft, Essbase, Hyperion, SAS, SQL, .net, ASP/ASPX, C++/C#)
