Required Level Of
Education:

Required Prior Work Experience:
  • Have at least 3 years maintenance experience with PLC Systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical repair

Key Competencies:
  • Maintenance technicians will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform
preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.
  • They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

Key
Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as CNC, conveyors, compressors, Sand Blast Equipment, mechanical pumps and Wax Injection machines.
  • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
  • Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.
  • Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documented procedures/instructions.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
  • All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company
  • Other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency with basic computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
  • Experience with MP2 maintenance software is beneficial.

  • Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items
  • Lifting 35 lbs or more 10% of the time and under 35 lbs 50% of the time Typically, assistance would be provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds
  • Good manual dexterity to operate computer equipment and precision measuring instruments
  • Position may require more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments
  • Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment / product inspections, etc
  • Standing 80% of the shift.
  • Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment; perform 5S cleaning activities as required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is moderate.

Basic Qualifications

Required Level Of

  • Have at least 3 years maintenance experience with PLC Systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical repair

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:
  • Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate are an asset.

Prior Work Experience:
  • Formal PLC training and/or extensive hands on PLC experience is preferred
  • Experience in ultra high vacuum systems is an asset.
  • Experience with man lifts (scissor and boom) and forklifts is an asset.
