Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to perform a variety of repair and installation activities to maintain the condition and appearance of company equipment, buildings and facilities. This position is located at the AFS aerospace distribution facility in Simi Valley, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain optimum appearance of the building
  • Recommend and solicit any contractors, vendors or other service providers for any required facility maintenance.
  • Maintain current insurance certificates for all building facility contractors, vendors & service providers.
  • Solicit quotes/bids from contractors, vendors, service providers and suppliers for any required products or services.
  • Monitor and schedule required periodic maintenance of building equipment.
  • Provide contractors, vendors, suppliers with Purchase Orders and secure their PO acknowledgements.
  • Insure on site contractors and vendors adhere to our EHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular building assessments to monitor new or developing maintenance requirements.
  • Paint, clean & perform any building maintenance needs where outside contractors are not required.
  • Liaison with Property Manager and Janitorial services to maintain optimum building appearance.
  • Maintain Tool and Key inventories and all records on all building service and repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of coffee stations and paper supply.
  • Maintenance of paper stock in copy rooms & paper products for Restrooms throughout the building.
  • Process morning, evening and interoffice mail.
  • Keep mailing and office supplies stocked.
  • Monthly check of fire extinguishers and regular inspections of other fire, water & emergency shutoff valves for the building.
  • Make various repairs throughout building such as replacing lights, repairs to walls, offices, floors etc.
  • Assist the EHS Supervisor with Safety issues around the building.
  • Partner with management to develop business continuity plans to restore the physical building after a disaster.
  • Empty trash from the building as necessary.
  • Other various general building maintenance duties as needed.
  • This is an hourly position eligible for overtime.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year related experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
