 Specific Responsibilities Include:
 
  • Essential Functions:
     
    Responsible for performing maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment.  Interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment.  Specify and order required repair parts and supplies.  Assure a safe and healthful workplace.  Show by example a commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement.
     
    Specific Responsibilities Include:
     
    1.     Maintenance II - Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment.
    2.     Maintenance Mechanic - Performs skilled maintenance activities including construction, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
    3.     Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeter, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gages.
    4.     Establish procedures by which the teams/ production technicians perform preventative maintenance activities.
    5.     Train production technicians in the preventative maintenance activities of plant equipment.
    6.     Interface with engineering, production and suppliers in the maintenance, fabrication, rebuilding and improvement of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
    7.     Assist teams in their continuous improvement efforts.
    8.     Assist production in the definition of manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment.
    9.     Establish procedures for shop floor housekeeping and 5S implementation.
    10.  Participate as a Safety Committee member.
    11.  Establish a minimum spare parts and supplies inventory.
    12.  Assure the required spare parts are available and ready to install.
    13.  Fabricate spare parts, as required.
    14.  Facilitate compliance with company safety, housekeeping, attendance policies and practices.
    15.  Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers.
    16.  Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
    •         Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.
    •          Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor.
