Arconic Engines has an opening for a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties: 
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance technicians to diagnose the problem or repair the machine
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Repair and/or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
  • Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures and tools
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, and reassemble equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
  • Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
  • Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures
  • Align and balance new equipment after installations
  • Maintain a safe and organized workstation and follow all Company policies, safety, and procedures


  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift and man lift to all approved OSHA and Arconic standards.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
