Job Description

Responsible for performing maintenance activities on all equipment within the plant. This includes but is not limited to preventive and predictive maintenance as well as performing breakdown repairs. This position will minimize equipment down time and perform small project activities. This position will adhere to all company policies and procedures. This position will work in a multitasking role with other maintenance mechanics and electricians to complete any given task within the confines of the individuals’ knowledge, experience and safety limitations at Pimalco Operations.



Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong trouble shooting skills both electrical and mechanical
  • Multi-skilled maintenance technician- an industrial electrician with strong mechanical skill sets.
  • Ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Own a full assortment of hand tools both metric and standard
  • Good knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • Proficient and experienced with high voltage equipment
  • Good knowledge of instrumentation, including tuning, calibration and trouble shooting
  • Proficient at trouble shooting and programming equipment with Allen Bradley PLC’s
  • Proficient at installation and trouble shooting of Allen Bradley frequency drives
  • Good knowledge of industrial equipment
  • Ability to repair equipment with minimal documentation
  • A working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Proficient at welding and burning
  • Proficient with alignments of all type of equipment
  • Familiar with NFPA 54 Combustion Standard and natural gas oven control systems
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical prints
  • Skills to operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks, JLGs and scissor lifts.
  • Maintain a mobile equipment certification as defined by Pimalco.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Good writing skills to keep daily work log book that others can follow
  • The incumbent recognizes that accident prevention is equal in importance to production, quality, delivery and cost control, and accepts the responsibility to work safely and promote safety consciousness among fellow employees.



Basic Qualifications

•High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
•Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an industrial electrician in a heavy manufacturing environment.
•Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
•This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
