Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, The Maintenance Supervisor directs the maintenance work force and provides on-site expertise. Under minimal supervision, lead the maintenance work force with troubleshooting and maintain electrical control systems, process control systems, instrumentation, and operator interface terminals for large scale manufacturing equipment. These machines may contain multiple PLCs, VFD’s, Servos, and HMI’s.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads and manage maintenance work force on a day to day basis;
  • Provides guidance, tracks and oversees all tasks assigned to the maintenance technicians (mechanical and electrical);
  • Reviews work planning and scheduling with the maintenance planner;
  • Audits and ensures the quality of work being performed by the maintenance technicians;
  • Effectively communicates and schedules maintenance activities with operations;
  • Able to evaluate the qualifications of the maintenance technicians and recommend training/development as needed;
  • Replace and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies;
  • Responsible to identify and issue corrective actions to technicians;
  • Manage technician’s schedules and time cards using Kronos timekeeping system;
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program on the Motor Control Room, Transformers, and various pieces of Manufacturing Equipment;
  • Minimize equipment downtime through corrective and preventative maintenance;
  • Ability to lead and assist with capital improvement projects throughout the facility;
  • Responsible to perform and/or assist with mechanical repairs throughout the facility and on machines;
  • Responsible for installation and electrical set-up of new or relocated machinery;
  • Must be able to be on-call, work any shift, weekends and overtime;
  • Skills
  • Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting industrial power distribution and lighting panels, circuits and fixtures;
  • Installation and wiring programmable digital controllers and electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant production equipment;
  • Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant-wide industrial electronic components for electro- mechanical systems, installation and programming of SLC and PLC programmable controllers, power supplies special and remote 1/0 modules and communication interfacing;
  • Implementation and debug of new machines and upgrades to existing machines.


Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical supervisory experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMI Programming, digital and analog sensors;
  • Working knowledge of Ladder Logic;
  • Experience with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers;
  • Working knowledge of motors control centers and distribution controls systems;
  • Working from electrical schematics, must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and isolate electrical and electronics issues in a timely manner;
  • Working knowledge in PCs and application software is essential;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and can work as a team player;
  • Working knowledge of N.E.C.;
  • Must be able to perform tasks at working heights greater than 4 feet.
