Arconic is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) Operations business unit at our Tennessee Operations location in Alcoa, TN.

The primary function of this role is to plan and support maintenance crews’ daily work.  The planner will act as liaison between production, engineering and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include data entry, maintaining of records and documentation and ordering of supplies to support the production and maintenance departments. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Plan daily maintenance work, and reassign resources as needed.
Support maintenance budget cost control.
Order and arrange parts, materials and tools for the job.
Maintain spare parts and materials.
Build team commitment for ownership of the maintenance process.
Develop maintenance planning and schedule.
Execute outage plans with frequent progress updates.
Write work tickets and build work packages and kits.
Follow up on outstanding equipment issues logged in the shift reports.
Responsible for closing work orders and PM’s when completed.
Responsible for execution of planned work.
Ensure that all safety, health and environmental aspects are considered prior to scheduling work and work with EHS team to complete documentation of safe work plans and contractor / supplemental labor approval.
Backfill as Maintenance Supervisor as needed to cover vacations, weekends, and outages



Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution;
Minimum of 3 years experience maintenance planning in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in applicable field such as engineering or business administration from an accredited institution
Working knowledge of Oracle eAM or equivalent
Working knowledge of Primavera or Microsoft Project scheduling software or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Reading and math skills are required along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce field sketches
Experience working on casting and/or molten metal equipment and systems
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make proper repairs
Proven leadership experience managing craft resources with skills necessary to develop a team
Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
Experience working in a union environment
