Job Description

Accountability Objectives
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
  • Ensuring that all information is available on Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance Orders, and Predictive Maintenance work to optimize touch time for associated hourly personnel. Reviewing and updating work procedure information and scheduling work to ensure the effective use of available resources.   
  • Identifying, obtaining, staging, and documenting materials, special tools, and/or equipment needed to complete work.
  • Reviewing completed work to schedule follow-up and updated work information for comparable future work. Identifying necessary material and/or documentation updates.  
  • Maintaining the weekday, weekend, and planned outage work schedule, while considering all safety, health, and environmental concerns prior to finalizing the work schedule.  
  • Entering, updating, and maintaining Maintenance Department reports and files by documenting changes in work instructions, surveys, calibration records, etc., within the Oracle system to support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain preparedness for internal auditing activities.  
  • Ordering and stocking materials and forms to support the Production and Maintenance Departments.  
  • Scheduling vacations and overtime for hourly maintenance personnel.   
  • Providing coverage for Maintenance Supervisors, as necessary.   
  • Producing contracting out notices and establishing job procedures for all work performed by external contracting companies, as well as guiding and directing contractors’ on-site activities. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
 
For this position to be successful, the incumbent should have:
 
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner or Scheduler.
  •  Minimum 3 years of experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  •  This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
