Arconic Engines is looking for a Maintenance Manager who is responsible for managing the maintenance, adjustment, installation and repair of the facility’s equipment to assure maximum efficiency and throughput capacity. This position will be located in Rochester, NY.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing/Operations to assess access to equipment;
  • Schedule and supervise the preventative maintenance program for all equipment in the facility;
  • Troubleshoot or consult on all major equipment failures;
  • Prepare and forecast a budget for the Maintenance Department for the fiscal year;
  • Prepare timeline and schedule for all scheduled equipment downtime and coordinate with the Operations Group to have access to the equipment;
  • Manage a 24/7 maintenance staff in order to offer proper support to the Operations Division;
  • Prepare, document, and manage all Capital Expenditure projects including the use of any outside contractors and equipment;
  • Lead the quote/bid process for all maintenance work done by outside contractors on an ongoing basis, acting as Project Manager to manage and coordinate those contractors and their effectiveness;
  • Assure compliance with all OSHA standards, including Lock Out/Tag Out and all other mandated programs in order to assure compliance at all times;
  • Coordinate with EHS Department for any environmental issues impacting the facility or property;
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience;
  • Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience;
  • Strong Project Management skills;
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics;
  • Experience with PLC’s, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment required;
  • Willingness to be available on call for emergencies or consultations;
  • Ability to prepare regular reports to Senior Management and Corporate Management which outline budget attainment, efficient staffing utilization (including use of overtime and 24/7 schedule effectiveness), and effective maintenance and management of repairs and any associated downtime;
  • Successful experience with staff performance management, goal setting and attainment;
  • Effectively demonstrate cost reduction management skills;
  • Effectively demonstrate spare parts management program development skills;
  • Journeyman Certification in a Maintenance Trade (i.e. Electrical, Plumbing, etc.)
