Reporting to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership for overall plant and equipment mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Responsible for maintenance scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, employee supervision, supervision of contractors and training and development.
Responsible for ensuring compliance of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs by employees and contractors working onsite.
Implementation of reliability excellence tools to maximize equipment availability and reliability
Perform engineering duties that require exercise of judgment and the application of standard electrical and mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Investigate/trouble shoot technical problems and help to establish procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences
Manage resources to assure key objectives such as safety and cost goals are met.
Provide technical support to maintain and upgrade plant equipment and systems.
Assist in developing and managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Electronic Engineering.
Minimum of five years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
Five years of experience in a management capacity with demonstrated leadership, training capabilities and ability to work under minimum supervision.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate to Advanced skill in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of OSHA & other regulatory agencies directives.
Must have experience evaluating and coaching employees to their full potential.
