Job Description

To ensure proper maintenance and operation of all equipment within the Dover Alloy Facility and to coordinate the activities of Maintenance Department Personnel to achieve plant objectives. These objectives include preventive & predictive maintenance schedules, timely repairs of breakdowns, training and implementation of TPM and insuring a safe work environment.

  • Ensure safety – maintenance manufacturing personnel and facility.
  • Assist in the resolution of repetitive problems to reduce equipment downtime and increase equipment utilization.
  • Ensure training of all mechanical and electrical maintenance employees.
  • Motivate colleagues to achieve work related goals.
  • Evaluate employee and equipment performance.
  • Implement preventive/predictive programs/guidelines.
  • Coordinate Maintenance/Engineering projects including Capital.
  • Assist Engineering with development of long range goals.
  • Develop and supervise Team Leaders.
  • Provide adherence to Company policy.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities within individual departments to minimize interference with production schedule.Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and both internal and external standards.
  • Analyzes and resolves, or assists colleagues in solving work related problems.
  • Ensure cost control and staying within Department Budget.
  • Coordinate and review external contract services as needed to complete projects, repairs, etc.
  • Review and implement the purchase of materials, spare parts, etc., as needed.
  • Summarize monthly maintenance activities.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 7 years work experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience with vacuum systems
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and TPM
  • Project and or implementation of capital projects
  • Work with contractor safety protocols
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written and supervise. Effectively present information to managers, customers and colleagues and contractors
  • Self-starter
  • Computer skills (spreadsheets, word processors, report writing, PLC).
