Our Cleveland operations located at 3960 South Marginal Road, is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Manager.

The Maintenance/Facilities Manager directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, installation, and modification of machines, and equipment, and in maintenance of building, grounds, and utility systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous availability of equipment for production operations.
  • Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to improve product, safety or process capability.
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to ensure continuous supply of water, heat, electrical power, gas, phone service, and compressed air required for operations
  • Confers with area supervisors, machine operators, and maintenance personnel to Implements preventive maintenance programs for factory equipment.
  • Reviews maintenance records and reports, to plan and modify maintenance activities aimed at improving maintenance performance.
  • Inspects machines, equipment, grounds, and facilities to assure conformance to regulatory codes and standards.
  • Confers with managers to resolve maintenance problems and identify maintenance related opportunities to improve operations, reduce operating cost, and effect greater utilization of labor and material.
  • Recommends measures to improve condition of buildings, grounds, facilities, machines and production equipment.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies required to maintain operations.
  • Assists in developing the annual maintenance budget and monitors expenditures to ensure conformance to budget.
  • Assists with facility environmental compliance and implementation of Arconic EHS policies and procedures.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of janitorial workers.
  • Completes performance appraisals and conducts performance reviews with appraised employees.
    • Ensures that workers comply with Arconic TMP policies, rules and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in plant maintenance or supervisory experience.
  • This position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires US person status . ITAR defines US person as an US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder."), Political Asylee, or refugee. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant knowledge of building, utility, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of custodial services and machinery repair / rebuilding.
  • Ability to lead a skilled, multi-trade workforce.
